Take your flights to the water

Aqua Wingz really stands out because it can lift off and land on water. Floating on twin pontoons while the dual propellers push it forward, you get a whole new level of fun whenever you have access to a small, smooth pond or pool.

The perfect first RC plane

With easy 2-channel controls, Aqua Wingz is much simpler than advanced hobby planes—and its light weight makes it less intimidating for beginners. Flying does take a bit more practice than driving an RC car, so start out on calm days in open spaces. Your first flights are the perfect time to get comfortable with the controls.

Made to last (within reason)

This plane is crafted from EPP foam, keeping weight down and offering more give on light bumps compared to hard plastic. But it's not indestructible—high-speed crashes with trees or buildings can still cause damage. For the best start, fly in open areas and make gentle control movements.

Water-resistant, but not waterproof

Aqua Wingz is made for taking off and landing on water—but don’t submerge it or leave it floating. Always fly somewhere you can easily get to the plane, and pick a day when the wind is blowing gently toward the shore. After flying on water, dry it thoroughly before charging or packing away.

Battery and charging

The 3.7 V 250 mAh LiPo battery stays inside the plane and charges up with the included USB-A to USB-C cable. You’ll get around 5–10 minutes per flight. The controller uses 2 AAA batteries (not included), and you’ll need your own USB power adapter for wall charging.

Battery and charger

Aqua Wingz features a rechargeable 3.7 V 250 mAh LiPo battery that’s housed in the plane. It charges using the included USB-A to USB-C cable, with a typical flight time of 5-10 minutes.

The transmitter uses 2 x AAA batteries, which need to be purchased separately. A USB adapter for the power outlet is not included. Let the plane dry completely after water use before recharging the battery.

Workshop Tips

It's hard not to get a bit excited about a plane that can take off directly from water. Aqua Wingz is simple in construction and easier to handle than many more advanced remote-controlled planes, but flying still requires practice. The first flights should take place in completely calm weather over a large, open area, ideally with an adult's help.

If you're using the plane on water, choose a small, manageable body of water where it's easy to retrieve. The wind direction should guide the plane toward the shore—not away from you. The EPP foam is lightweight and suitable for this type of plane, but hard crashes can still cause damage. Always dry the plane thoroughly after contact with water.
