All about Huina Excavator 1:14

Description

The Huina 1:14 Excavator can quickly turn a sandbox or living room floor into a mini construction site. It’s not just a machine that drives back and forth—you control the digging arm, bucket and cab joint by joint, while the metal bucket handles small loads of sand, pebbles and other lightweight materials.

The cool thing about the Huina 1592 is that there’s plenty to learn and plenty to do. The excavator runs on tracks, the cab can turn almost two full rotations, and you decide whether today’s job is digging, lifting or loading. Lights and excavator sounds make it even easier to get into the action.

It’s a sturdy toy excavator with a lot more to control than a basic model—but it’s not a hydraulic construction machine. It works best with dry, loose sand, pebbles and other lightweight materials. Avoid compacted soil, large rocks and wet sand to keep the mechanics in good shape and the fun going for longer.

What makes the Huina 1:14 Excavator so cool:

  • 22-channel control for driving, cab, digging arm and metal bucket
  • Large 1:14 excavator with tracks, lights and realistic sounds
  • Metal bucket and more detailed controls for anyone ready to play construction site for real

A proper excavator experience

What makes this model special is the control. The arm moves in three sections, and the bucket can be controlled separately, so you can practise digging, lifting and loading with precision. The cab can rotate around 680 degrees while the tracks stay put—just like on a real excavator.

A step up from a basic excavator

We chose the Huina 1592 for anyone looking for a more detailed, more fully featured excavator. The metal bucket, larger scale and many control functions give you more to play with, but also a little more to learn. That makes it best suited for ages 8 and up, ideally with an adult nearby the first few times.

Battery and charging

The excavator comes with a rechargeable 7.4 V 1200 mAh battery pack and charging cable. Expect up to 20 minutes of running time and up to 4 hours to charge. The remote control uses 3 x AA batteries, which are not included.

Tips from the workshop

Start on a flat surface or in a sandbox with dry, loose sand. Use smooth arm movements instead of forcing the bucket down into the ground—that’ll give you neater loads and help protect the gears. Brush off sand and dust after play, and always keep the electronics and battery away from water.

If you’re after a simpler excavator with fewer features, you can also check out our classic remote-controlled excavator.

Tips from the Workshop

Use it on a flat surface or in dry, loose sand. Smooth movements with the arm make for cleaner scoops and are easier on the gears. It’s made for lightweight materials—not hard-packed soil, large rocks or wet sand. Brush off sand and dust after play, and always keep the electronics and battery away from water.
