Monster truck look—but made for the living room floor

The big wheels and chunky tread make Rapid look like a little monster truck. That’s part of its cool style, but the car doesn’t have the power or construction for grass and rough terrain. On grass, gravel and dirt, it quickly loses speed, and small stones and dirt can cause unnecessary wear to the drivetrain.

Rapid works best on a clean, smooth indoor floor. It’s fun to drive there, and you don’t need much space to race around tables, chairs and doorways. Avoid carpets and rugs too, as the car may struggle to move across them.

Two speeds make it easier to get started

Start at the lower speed while you’re getting to know the car. Once you’ve got the controls down, switch to the faster setting and pick up the pace on the living room floor. That makes Rapid a great, simple indoor car for kids who want to try remote control without a ton of settings.

Battery and charging

Rapid comes with a rechargeable 3.7 V 500 mAh battery and a USB charger. The transmitter uses 2 x AA batteries, which are sold separately. You’ll also need a USB-A adapter for the wall socket, such as a standard phone charger.

Charge the battery under supervision, and remove it from the car when it’s not in use. Driving time is up to 20 minutes under good conditions and depends on factors including the selected speed and the floor’s resistance.
