Description
Traxxas Stampede 2WD Brushless is the classic monster truck with big tires, high ground clearance, and rear-wheel drive taking center stage. It's packed with personality, and when the terrain gets loose, the back end loves to join the fun. The new VX3 brushless motor delivers up to 80 km/h with a 3S LiPo - but feel free to start with 2S, where it's still really fast and easier to get to know.
Here you get that raw monster truck feel: High ground clearance, Talon MXT tires, and a vehicle that craves gravel, dirt, and wide turns. The tough chassis, Extreme Heavy Duty components, metal gear servo, and Magnum 272 transmission provide Stampede with a solid foundation for those rides where things can get a little loose and fun.
It's still a 2WD car, and that's a big part of its charm. It's responsive on the throttle and livelier in the rear than a 4x4, but it also requires a little more throttle control. On 3S, Stampede is very fast—so use Training Mode with half speed until you're in control of the car and the space you’re driving in.
The body clips on and off without pins, making battery changes and cleaning quick. The electronics are water-resistant for driving in wet weather and on wet surfaces, but the vehicle should not be submerged in water. Rinse off dirt gently and dry the vehicle after a wet outing.
Traxxas Stampede 2WD Brushless highlights:
- High 2WD monster truck with large Talon MXT tires
- VX3 brushless system - up to 56 km/h on 2S and 80 km/h on 3S LiPo
- Extreme Heavy Duty components, metal gear servo, and clipless body
What's new with VX3?
The VX3 system is Traxxas' new 3S brushless drivetrain with a Velineon V3200 motor, cooling fan, and three driving modes. Sport Mode is for regular driving with forward, brake, and reverse. Race Mode removes reverse gear, and Training Mode limits both forward and reverse to 50%. It's a great feature when learning the vehicle or lending it out.
The new TQi Sport remote control features Traxxas Stability Management - TSM. The system helps the vehicle maintain direction on loose terrain, but it doesn't slow the car down or eliminate the need to drive carefully. The remote uses 4 x AA batteries.
Who is the Stampede 2WD for?
Choose Stampede 2WD if you want the classic monster truck feel rather than the most stable driving style. Its high build and large tires are fun on grass, gravel, and dirt, while the rear-wheel drive adds more liveliness compared to a 4x4. If you want more grip and stability on loose surfaces, check out the Stampede 4x4 Brushless.
Stampede is built for use and maintenance. After a hard crash or a wet session, it’s a good idea to check wheels, suspension, and drivetrain before the next run. Find Traxxas spare parts here if the vehicle needs some workshop love.
