Tracker Brushless

The Tracker Brushless is a large and powerful remote-controlled 4x4 monster truck with a brushless motor, rugged terrain tires, and a striking black and blue body. Built on the proven Tornado Brushless platform, it features new wheels, a new body, and a larger 1800 mAh LiPo battery. The result is a fast and versatile car that offers great driving pleasure for your money—on asphalt, gravel, and grass.

The new sibling to the Tornado Brushless

If you know the Tornado Brushless, much will feel familiar. The Tracker builds on the same proven concept with a brushless motor, 4x4, center differential, oil-filled shocks, and adjustable top speed. The differences lie in the new body, different wheelset, and the larger included battery. The two cars are quite similar, so the choice mostly depends on which look and wheelset you prefer.

Our current walkthrough and start guide were recorded with the Tornado Brushless. Since the Tracker shares the platform and technique with the Tornado, most of the guide also applies here. The obvious differences are the body, wheelset, and battery capacity.

Brushless power with the option to dial it down

The Tracker accelerates quickly and has enough power for loose surfaces and grass. It's a big advantage that the top speed can be limited on the controller. Start calmly, get to know the steering and brakes, and turn up the speed only when there's clear room. This makes the car more manageable on your first runs without losing potential as you become more experienced.

Big tires and real suspension

The large rugged tires provide good grip on gravel, hard soil, and regular grass, while the oil-filled shock absorbers help the car maintain contact with the ground. The Tracker is still a fast RC car, not a crawler, so it works best in open areas with room to speed up rather than slow crawling over very large rocks and obstacles.

4x4 drivetrain with a center differential

Power is sent to all four wheels, and the center differential helps distribute it between the front and rear. Along with metal drive shafts and ball bearings, it provides an efficient drivetrain that makes good use of the powerful motor. It's a serious setup for this size and an important part of the car's great value for money.

Water-resistant - not waterproof

The electronics are water-resistant to IPX4 and can handle damp grass and small splashes under normal use. The car must not be submerged in water or driven through deep puddles. After running in moisture, it should be cleaned and dried thoroughly, and metal parts and bearings require regular maintenance to stay in good condition.

Battery and charging

The Tracker comes with a removable 7.4 V 1800 mAh LiPo battery with a T-connector and a standard USB charger. The controller uses 3 x AA batteries, which must be purchased separately. A USB adapter for the wall outlet is not included. If you don't have one already, find a USB adapter here.

If you want more driving time, our LiPo 1500 mAh battery pack fits. You can also shorten charging time with the Charger C22 and the necessary extra charging cable or with the Charger U20.

Realistic expectations

The Tracker is sturdily built for its size, but a high-speed car can still suffer damage in collisions, big jumps, and hard landings. Use it in open areas, start with reduced top speed, and keep clear of curbs, trees, and parked cars. Regular cleaning and checking screws, wheels, and the drivetrain is the best way to ensure many great driving sessions.
